Annual convention and conference for the State of Maryland Fire and Rescue Services. Annual meeting, exhibits, training opportunities, and seminars are available. The public is invited to come in and meet the firemen and see exhibits Monday thru Wednesday. The Annual Parade is Wednesday at 1 p.m. Equipment, bands, & floats (approx. 3 hours).
USSSA Eastern National Championships to be played in Wicomico County
World's Largest & Richest Billfish Tournament, 45th Annual White Marlin Open. The White Marlin Open is an event that can be fun and exciting for the spectators as well as the anglers. All fish must be weighed on the official scale at Harbour Island, (14th Street and the Bay), and the weigh-ins are held there each day of the tournament from 4:00 to 9:15 PM and are open to the public free of charge. As the week goes on, the suspense builds, as potential lottery sized fortunes change hands with a tip of the scale. It's a terrific way to spend a few exciting hours during your Ocean City vacation.

TRUNK OR TREATÂ -- On the boardwalk north of the amusement pier.â€¨Trunk or Treat will take place on the Boardwalk south of Caroline Street and north of the amusement pier after the Drive in Disguise (October 20) gets parked and set up. Drive in Disguise participants have the option of participating in this candy and treat give-away. The event is expected to begin at approximately 3:40pm and will last as long as the participants have treats to give.
HOWL-O-WEEN PET PARADEÂ --Â Located at North Division StreetÂ on the Boardwalk.â€¨Bring your dog, cat, bird or other family pet for Ocean City's "Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade", Saturday, October 20, on the boardwalk near North Division Street. While the event is free to participate, donations of pet supplies and monetary donations will be collected to benefit the Worcester County Humane Society. The pageant on the boardwalk beginning promptly at 1pm.
DRIVE IN DISGUISEÂ -- from 27thÂ Street south to the amusementÂ pier.â€¨ It's a parade of costumed cars from 27th Street to North Division Street on the Boardwalk on Saturday, October 20. Vehicles at the parade end point will line up on the concrete part of the boardwalk north of the pier where voting and award presentations will take place. The public will be able to vote for their favorite decorated car. Each vote is one dollar. A People's Choice award as well as additional certificates will be awarded.
THE GREAT PUMPKIN RACEÂ Â -- Â Located on the sand atÂ North Division Street and theÂ Boardwalk.â€¨The fun continues with "The Great Pumpkin Race" Saturday, October 27, on the Boardwalk. Build your own pumpkin race car to compete in this wacky and zany side-by-side down-hill race. Plus there will be lots of room to watch these exciting races with live play-by-play by the event announcer. Prizes will be awarded in each division as well as for creativity. If you're ready to start building your ghastly but spirited race car, download the complete event rules from OCocean.com or SpecialEventPro.com. Registration and team check-in begins at 12noon with races commencing at 1pm.
